is it possible to create an indoor apartment compost without worms if so how..?
i really want to make a compost but i live in an apartment and so i did a little reasearch and found all this stuff about worms i HATE worms and dont want them any where near me..!so it there any other way i can create a indoor compost WITHOUT using worms….. can you help me..?
The only other way I can think of would be to just let it decompose, but that’d smell really bad and might give your house mold, so it’s probably a bad idea.
Honestly, you should try to get over your fear of worms. Do a little research on their biology and learn about them. They’re really cool creatures if you’re willing to take a closer look at them. When you understand them better, force yourself to get closer to them and, if you can, hold one for a little while. If it goes well, you won’t have so much trouble with them being in your house.

Sounds like your ideas are going to you on that go green conversion. Best idea is if you live in north america, you are allowed to go into the bush and place a small pot and put your compost in, then bring it back when it’s ready each watering or so. You asked what to use, um hummn… so use the bush, your asking if worms in an apartment is gross or not your idea of great, and would everything else be too difficult to keep there with the smells and rotting etc, then yeah, use the bush. Bush as in where lots of trees are, walkways, trails, etc. If your nature friendly and to yourself, I’m sure your respected there. Don’t get lost and want to build a city though, that would just distract from the whole purpose of your going green.
As many nations there are on this or that side of the world, we have the greatest planet.

I’ve got two words for you: GARDENING GLOVES. You never have to touch the worms. I have grown to love my worms, so much that I now teach worm composting class. My family thinks I am nutty but oh well. I have the best tasting veggies and most beautiful flower garden around. Oh yeah, I am a woman, not all worm farmers are men….
