Is there any one in Havasu composting with red wiggler worms? I would like to compare notes.?

I bought a pound of them and they are working their tails off but I think I have to many for just two people. They are neat and tidy and live on my kitchen counter. If you are interested, I will let you come and see the set up. I think it would be great to teach youngsters about living green

We do the same in Perth (W.Australia)….I have an under-ground system which attracts tree roots away from the house, & cuts out 'midges' which linger around regular worm composting systems. Works similar to the old fashioned leach drains, but is lined with 'bedding materials' for the worms. Food is fed from the surface through 6" dia thick plastic pipes, and sealed with a saucer of water for the birds.Good luck with teaching the kids in Havasu !.
