When do I put the compost in my garden?

I am doing a report on composting. This is my last question: Do I start before or after the plants grow? I searched millions of webpages and couldn’t find a answer.

You can compost all year round the best time is in the early Autumn just before the first frost or if you are lucky the first hard rain.
dig your ground and then cover it with the compost leave fro a week then dig again however you can always rot-ovate if you have one then leave till early spring dig or rot-ovate again then plant this give the ground time to absorb the nutrient’s in the compost you will have a better garden or vegetable garden than anyone else

It’s nearly always best to dig the compost in before you plant.

I plow a deep furrow in early summer down the middles between the rows and put the compost there. Next year I ’stagger the rows so I’m planting in last seasons compost.

add compost prior to planting. it raises organic content of soils and can supply nutrients to plants. They need nurients as they grow. More importantly. compost can vary a soil’s texture and improve the way it drains or holds moisture.
