Where can I get earthworms for my compost pile?

Where could I purchase earthworms for my compost pile? What type of earthworm is the best? It's hot where I live: Houston TX!

You can buy them at a bait store nearby or buy them online. But it really isn't necessary. If your compost pile is on the ground, or if you drill holes in the bottom of your bin, the worms will come. The only time you need to put worms in is if you have a bin that is sealed like a tumbler. This site has them very reasonably priced (many places charge $20+) and it is in Texas, so it shouldn't be far from you. http://www.marshallgrain.com/marshall/product.asp?dept_id=3027&pf_id=PAAAIAIEDIHMJECM&ad_id=froogle&key_id=RedWigglerEarthworms

I am from the Lake Conroe area. I have earthworms under rocks and in my flower beds that I keep pretty wet. If you irrigate, you might have some you can dig up free. Those would be the best that are native to your area.
